Oceanside House Fire; All Occupants Got Out Safely: Police

The Oceanside Road residential fire happened at approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

OCEANSIDE, NY — A house went up in flames in Oceanside. Officers spotted the Oceanside Road home on fire while on patrol at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Smoke was seen pouring out from the corner of the building.

An officer knocked on the front door and assisted three residents out of the home, police said. The Oceanside Fire Department arrived and extinguished the blaze.

No one was reported injured, according to authorities.

Arson/Bomb Squad detectives and the county Fire Marshal responded to the fire. An investigation is ongoing.
