The RVC Saprtans Middle School team start the first game of the season with a blast. After a slow start in the first period things started to roll in the second. The Plainview team took a 1-0 lead at 12:28 of the second period.The Spartan’s were all over Plainview to that point but couldn’t score until 8:49 of the second, with Harrison Chesney getting the first goal of the Spartan’s 2014-2015 season. From that point on the flood gates opened and the Spartan’s scored 7 unanswered goals until 1:18 of the 3rd period Plainview scored their second and final goal. Scoring for the Spartan’s was Harrison Chesney 1, Brendan Daly 2, Brett Dougan 2 and Jimmy Hennesy 2. Brian Albertsen kept the Spartan’s in the game warding off a barage of shots for the first half,while Shaun Hurwitz played second half closer. Brendan Daly also had 3 assists for a total of 5 points to lead the team in scoring.
