ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Rockville Centre residents should prepare for the loss of power on Wednesday.

The village plans to cut electricity for a small section from 4 to 6 a.m. in an effort to strengthen the electrical grid.

Work is scheduled to impact homes and businesses in the vicinity of College Place, North Park Avenue and Maple Avenue.

Bad weather would postpone the outage until 4 to 6 a.m. Thursday, the village stated.

The village suggests shutting out any sensitive electronic devices prior to the scheduled outage.
