Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car In Nassau
Police say the man was crossing the road when he was hit. No one has been charged yet.
A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car in Baldwin Friday night.
According to police, a 55-year-old man was crossing Grand Avenue at Sunrise Highway at 9:49 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a 2015 Mazda heading north. The man suffered multiple severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The driver, a 27-year-old man, stayed at the scene. His car was impounded for a safety check.

Police have not yet released the identify of the man who was killed. The investigation is ongoing.
