Person Fatally Struck By LIRR Train In Baldwin: MTA

The victim's name was not released, and MTA Police are investigating the Sunday incident.

BALDWIN, NY — A person was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train at the Baldwin train station on Sunday evening, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.

The Babylon branch was suspended as a result of the incident that happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. The LIRR tweeted three hours later that service was restored.

The victim was not identified and MTA Police are investigating.
