With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. BALDWIN, NY — A person was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train at the Baldwin train station on Sunday evening, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said. The Babylon branch was suspended as a result of the incident that happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. The LIRR tweeted three hours later that service was restored. The victim was not identified and MTA Police are investigating.
