Person Fatally Struck By Train Near Wantagh: MTA

WANTAGH, NY — An unauthorized person was fatally struck Tuesday afternoon near the Wantagh LIRR station.

The victim, who was not unidentified, was hit just after 5 p.m., according to MTA spokesperson Kayla Shults.

MTA Police is investigating the cause.

The Babylon branch had some delays and possible cancellations throughout the evening rush, Shults said.
