Popular Firefighters Parade Is Saturday In RVC
The 4th Battalion Parade, which features multiple fire companies, begins at 6 p.m.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Who doesn't love a parade with marching bands and, especially, fire trucks? The Rockville Centre Fire Department hosts the 4th Battalion Parade on Saturday.
It is scheduled to step off at 6 p.m. with fire departments from Rockville Centre, East Rockaway, Lakeview, Lynbrook and Malverne-- the member departments from the 4th Battalion District.
Neighboring fire departments will participate as well, the village of Rockville Centre posted on its Facebook page.

The parade will start at parking field 12 located on Sunrise Highway and Long Beach Road. The route proceeds north along Long Beach Road, turning right (east) onto Lakeview Avenue, followed by a left at Knollwood Road. It concludes by heading north to Fireman's Field at South Side High School.
John O'Reilly, former chief and commissioner of the 4th Battalion, will serve as grand marshal.

The drill will take place at Fireman’s Field starting at 1:00 p.m. consisting of Firematic Ladder and Hose events.
