Arrests

On Feb. 8 at 10:27 a.m., Orane Robinson, 27, of Oakland Street, Hempstead, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

On Feb. 10 at 9:52 a.m., Henry Jimenez, 47, of Elliot Street, Brentwood, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and N. Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre.

Assault

On Feb. 12 at 1:30 a.m., a man from Poppy Drive, Massapequa, reported that an unknown man assaulted him on N. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre resulting in head injuries requiring medical attention.

Sex Offense

On Feb. 11 at 11:30 p.m., a woman from Briarwood Lane, Plainview, reported that an unknown man forcibly touched and kissed her without permission while at Parlay Gastropub, located at 212 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

Forgery

On Feb. 11 at 7:49 p.m., a woman from Atlantic Avenue, Lynbrook, reported that she was told that a $50 bill obtained from Key Food, 399 Ocean Avenue, Rockville Centre, was counterfeit.

Larceny

On Feb. 8 at 9 a.m., an Oceanside resident reported that someone stole several keys from his unlocked car while it was parked in the vicinity of R.J. Daniel’s, 279 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

On Feb. 10 at 11:04 a.m., a Judson Place resident reported that someone stole a Craftsman snow blower valued at $350 from an unlocked detached garage at the residence.

On Feb. 12 at 12:48 a.m., a Valley Stream resident reported that sometime someone stole a North Face jacket containing a wristlet wallet and credit cards from Cabo Restaurant, located at 3A N. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.

Unusual Incidents

On Feb. 7 at 4:33 p.m., a Salem Road resident reported that someone opened a Verizon wireless account using his personal information without his authorization.

On Feb. 7 at 5:31 p.m., a Windham Road resident reported that someone attempted to access his TD bank account without his authorization.

On Feb. 10 at 3:57 p.m., a woman from Raymond Street reported that she received a phone call stating that she needed to send three Western Union Money orders to three separate people in Haiti totaling $4,500 for medical exams of relatives awaiting visas; the victim sent the money and then called the Haitian Embassy where she was told that the phone call was fraudulent.

On Feb. 11 at 5:32 p.m., a resident from New York Avenue reported that someone made unauthorized withdrawals from a Citibank checking account totaling $1,000 without authorization.

Weapons

On Feb. 10 at 2:56 p.m., a complainant from South Side Middle School, located at 67 Hillside Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported a student was in possession of a BB gun, which was recovered by responding police officers.

Harassment

On Feb. 12 at 2 p.m., a woman from Brookhaven Avenue, Far Rockaway reported that a psychiatric patient punched her in the back of the head but caused no injury while working at Mercy Medical Center, 1000 N. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre.
