Arrests

On April 18 at 12:13 p.m., John J. Becker, 45, of Miller Avenue, Freeport, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violation following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On April 20 at 11:51 a.m., Michael Griffin, 50, of Toronto Avenue, Massapequa, was arrested for obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of 140 Shepherd St., Rockville Centre.

On April 21 at 7:23 p.m., Devin S. Gallagher, 41, of Davison Street, Oceanside, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

On April 22 at 11:55 a.m., Barry J. Phillips, 52, of Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

On April 22 at 4:54 p.m., Carlyle B. Thompson, 22, of Old Mill Court, Rockville Centre, was arrested for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre.

Larcenies

On April 19 at 8:55 a.m., a man reported that an unknown man stole landscaping equipment valued at $1,000 from the rear of a truck parked at the Recreation Center, 111 N. Oceanside Road, and then fled in an older model Jeep Cherokee southbound on Oceanside Road.

On April 19 at 5:20 p.m., a complainant from Timber Ridge Drive, Huntington, reported that someone stole a backpack containing a Dell laptop computer, Apple iPhone and Con Edison identification card from an unlocked Jeep parked in the vicinity of Banks Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On April 20 at 12:45 p.m., a complainant from Hempstead Avenue reported a theft of bins containing personal property from his rental residence.

On April 20 at 8:03 p.m., a complainant from Jackson Street, Oceanside, reported that someone stole a black leather wallet containing credit cards from an unlocked 2015 Nissan parked in the rear of Kashi, 218 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

On April 21 at 5:39 p.m., a complainant from Dorchester Street, Rockville Centre, reported that someone stole a RC parking permit from a 2015 Jeep parked in Municipal Parking Field 22, Rockville Centre.

On April 22 at 12:42 p.m., a complainant from Seaman Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that someone stole packages containing clothing and kitchen supplies from the front stoop of the residence.

On April 22 at 2:24 p.m., a complainant from Walnut Street, Rockville Centre, reported that someone made withdrawals totaling $22,123.59 from a TD Bank account.

On April 20 at 9:17 a.m., a complainant from Pine Street, Rockville Centre, reported that someone withdrew $2,407.99 from an Astoria Bank account without permission.

Criminal Mischief

On April 17 at 4:25 p.m., a complainant from Berfond Court, Merrick, reported that someone damaged the passenger side of a car parked in Municipal Parking Field 8.

Property Damage

On April 19 at 10:36 a.m., a complainant from the village Power Plant reported that a falling power line damaged a 2017 Hyundai parked in Municipal Parking Field 4.
