Arrest

On June 2 at 3:25 p.m., Elliot W. Straus, 72, of Shepherd Street, Rockville Centre, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an auto accident investigation on N. Long beach Road, Rockville Centre.

On May 30 at 10:36 a.m., a complainant from Fenway, Rockville Centre, reported that someone made two unauthorized transactions against a Synchrony Bank MasterCard account resulting in a total loss of $2,981.10.

On June 1 at 7:27 p.m., a complainant from Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that an apparently intoxicated unknown man purporting to be a firefighter attempted to gain access to her apartment for unknown purpose.

Criminal Mischief

On June 2 at 1:47 p.m., a complainant from Macken Mortuary, located at 52 Clinton Ave., Rockville Centre, reported that he discovered a small dent above the driver side door of a Chevy and several small dents on the front passenger side panel of a Dodge while both vehicles were parked in the driveway.

On June 2 at 7:50 p.m., a complainant from Laurelton reported that someone they knew threw a rock from a walk bridge in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard, causing damage to a 2013 Toyota traveling southbound.

Unauthorized Use

On June 3 at 10:08 a.m., a complainant from Windsor Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that a roommate used his car without permission.

Assault

On June 4 at 2:49 a.m., a complainant from East Meadow reported that he was assaulted by an unknown man while in Municipal Parking Field 3, resulting in a facial injury.

Larceny

On May 31 at 5:25 p.m., a complainant from Vernon Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that an unknown man stole a package containing a child’s puzzle valued at $20.

On June 1 at 12:43 p.m., a complainant from Grand Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that someone stole and used a T.D Bank gift card valued at $60 that was on top of a desk at 55 Grand Ave., Rockville Centre.

On June 4 at 10:06 p.m., a complainant from West Hempstead reported that someone stole a Samsung Galaxy 7 phone valued at $800 while at Cannon’s Blackthorn, located at 49 North Village Ave., Rockville Centre.

Fire

On May 31 at 6:25 a.m., police personnel responded to the scene of a truck fire at 345 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre. The Rockville Centre Fire Department extinguished the fire and deemed it accidental.

Harassment

On May 31 at 9:38 p.m., two complainants from Banks Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that they had a dispute with an acquaintance from Banks Avenue while at their complex, causing annoyance and alarm.
