Arrests

On Aug. 15 at 8:11 p.m., David Bueno, 22, Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, was arrested on two active bench warrants for fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana following an investigation on S. Long Beach Road.

On Aug. 17 at 5:22 p.m., Laura A. Ziemak, 42, of Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, was arrested for second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic infractions after she was observed driving on Merrick Road.

On Aug. 18 at 7:16 p.m., Jose R. Bisono, 42, of S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and disorderly premises following an investigation by police personnel on S. Park Avenue.

On Aug. 18 at 7:43 p.m., Socorro Y. Valera-Canaio, 35, of S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and second-degree obstructing governmental administration following an investigation by police personnel on S. Park Avenue.

On Aug. 18 at 11:34 a.m., Hugo Hernandez-Rios, 36, of 69th Place, Maspeth, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field 7.

On Aug. 19 at 9:54 a.m., Loida M. Jimenez, 50, of Harwich Road, East Rockaway, was arrested for petty larceny following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of 399 Ocean Ave.

On Aug. 21 at 2:08 a.m., Stephanie L. Sutton, 28, of Meehan Lane, Rockville Centre, was arrested for second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Meehan Lane.

Unusual Incidents

On Aug. 15 at 9:22 a.m., a Meehan Lane resident reported an unauthorized withdrawal from her bank account.

On Aug. 15 at 6:30 p.m., a North Forest Avenue resident reported an unauthorized withdrawal from her bank account.

On Aug. 16 at 5:30 p.m., a Fenway resident reported unauthorized withdrawals from her bank account.

On Aug. 18 at 12:37 p.m., a complainant from Knollwood Road reported that someone emailed attempting to convince him to cash a check and retain $300 as payment.

On Aug. 18 at 10:38 a.m., a complainant from State Street reported that an unknown person attempted to change his address at the post office.

Forgery

On Aug. 15 at 5:01 p.m., a Canterbury Road resident reported someone stole a check and forged his signature.

Larcenies

On Aug. 14 at 10:20 p.m., a Merrick Road resident reported that her laptop computer was stolen from her residence.

On Aug. 16 at 11:45 p.m., a bar owner on S. Park Avenue reported the theft of $20,000 from his vehicle while it was parked in the rear of the premise.

On Aug. 16 at 8:45 p.m., a homeowner on Powell Avenue reported the theft of a bicycle from the side of his house.

On Aug. 16 at 9:46 a.m., an Atkinson Road resident reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked car overnight.

On Aug. 17 at 3:45 p.m., a Hargale Court resident reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked car overnight.

On Aug. 17 at 8:24 p.m., a Hargale Court resident reported his wallet was stolen from his unlocked car overnight.

On Aug. 17 at 9:40 p.m., a Hargale Court resident reported wireless headphones were stolen from his unlocked car overnight.

On Aug. 17 at 9:50 p.m., an Arrandale Road resident reported a gift card was stolen from his car overnight.

On Aug. 18 at 9:44 a.m., a complainant from the Crown Shoppe, located at 278 Sunrise Highway, reported that an employee stole $1,450.20 in merchandise.
