Arrests
On Dec. 5 at 8:46 a.m., Edward K. Baxter, 58, of Westbury, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway.
On Dec. 6 at 1:23 a.m., Donna M. Picerni, 38, of Oceanside, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Lincoln Avenue and Aldred Avenue.

On Dec. 7 at 1:10 a.m., William A. Havel, 61, of S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested for third-degree assault following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of S. Park Avenue.
On Dec. 9 at 8:35 p.m., Patrick Matuszewski, 40, of Bay Shore, was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of S. Park Avenue.

On Dec. 10 at 2:24 p.m., Sean A. Louis, 26, of Springfield Gardens, was arrested for theft of services following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of 235 Merrick Rd.
On Dec. 10 at 10:17 p.m., Carlos A. Manzo, 21, of Freeport, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and vehicle and traffic law violation following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road.
Assault
On Dec. 4 at 11:26 p.m., a man from Bayside reported that an unknown man assaulted him while on N. Park Avenue, resulting in a facial cut and elbow bruise.
On Dec. 10 at 7:13 p.m., a manager from King Kullen reported that he was assaulted by two male panhandlers while in front of the store, resulting in facial injuries requiring medical attention.
Larceny
On Dec. 4 at 5:38 p.m., a complainant from Sherwood Road reported that an unknown man stole an iPhone 6 on N. Centre Avenue after previously agreeing online to purchase it for $200.
On Dec. 5 at 9:32 p.m., a complainant from Roxen Road reported that an unknown man stole property from an unlocked 2015 Acadia Denali.
On Dec. 6 at 9:20 a.m., a complainant from Harvard Avenue reported that the catalytic converter from a 2001 Toyota was stolen while parked in Municipal Parking Field 22.
On Dec. 8 at 10:45 a.m., a complainant from Merrick Road reported that an unknown couple induced him to use his personal identification toward a furniture purchase resulting in a debt of $1,998.99.
On Dec. 8 at 5:46 p.m., a complainant from Clinton Avenue reported that property was stolen from in front of her home.
On Dec. 10 at 11:18 a.m., a complainant from Amherst Court reported that a diamond tennis bracelet and a Chase debit card were stolen from the home sometime while a contractor was performing work in the house.
Unusual Incident
On Dec. 4 at 9:22 a.m., a complainant from Maine Avenue reported that someone called and induced her to mail $1,100 to purportedly avoid arrest.
On Dec. 5 at 6:37 p.m., a complainant from Marvin Avenue reported that three credit cards and one debit card were removed from a wallet and used to make an unauthorized Walmart purchase totaling $433.41.
On Dec. 6 at 7:53 p.m., a complainant from Hempstead Avenue reported that someone opened a Verizon account using his personal information without authorization.
Criminal Mischief
On Dec. 9 at 9:16 p.m., a complainant from Fremont Road, Valley Stream, reported that someone damaged the dispatcher window at All Island Taxi on Front Street.
Harassment
On Dec. 5 at 11:15 a.m., a complainant from N. Centre Avenue reported that a neighbor harassed her on two occasions, causing the victim annoyance and alarm.
Juvenile
On Dec. 7 at 8:48 p.m., a juvenile complainant reported that a juvenile acquaintance from Uniondale was harassing her by text message and Snapchat while in the vicinity of Princeton Street.
