Arrests

On Feb. 6 at 7:58 p.m., Thomas J. Supple, 34, of Inwood, was arrested for circumventing an interlock device, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard and Maine Avenue.

On Feb. 8 at 11:32 a.m., Derrick A. Prince, 45, of Hempstead, was arrested for second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Windsor Avenue and Merrick Road on Nov. 17, 2017.

Robbery

On Feb. 6 at 3:00 a.m., a clerk at the 7-11 at 324 Merrick Road reported that two males entered the store, jumped over the counter, pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The robbers stole $100 and fled the scene westbound on Merrick Road.

Burglary

On Feb. 8 at 10:07 a.m., a complainant from Lakeview Avenue reported that someone entered their home from a second-floor window and stole jewelry valued at $700.

Larceny

On Feb. 6 at 7:47 p.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that two license plates were stolen from a vehicle parked in Municipal Parking Field 3.

On Feb. 6 at 2:30 p.m., a complainant from Levittown reported that an unattended Apple MacBook Air laptop computer was stolen from outside the lab area of the Barbara Hagan building of Molloy College.

On Feb. 8 at 7:48 p.m.a complainant from Strathmore Lane reported that she wired $20,000 from a Chase Bank account to an unknown person’s Wells Fargo account following a call claiming to require funds to bail out a grandson who was not in fact arrested.

Unusual Incident

On Feb. 11 at 2:16 p.m., a complainant from Lynbrook reported that two days early an unknown woman paid for a $12 purchase at Ka Pai Jewelry Store located at 10 S. Village Avenue with a counterfeit $100 bill that was identified at TD Bank.

Property Damage

On Feb. 6 at 7:22 a.m., a complainant from Freeport reported that front bumper to a car parked on North Village Avenue was damaged by unknown means.
