Arrest

On March 1 at 9:46 a.m., John J. LaRosa, 32, of Plainview, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway.

Forgery

On March 3 at 11:12 a.m., an employee at at Mavis Tire Supply, located on Sunrise Highway, said that a customer purchased tires with a forged Chase check.

Unusual Incident

On March 3 at 11:42 a.m., the owner of a store on Front Street reported that she received a phone call from a person purporting to be from LIPA and paid $770 in Green Dot Money Cards for a supposed overdue bill.

Criminal Mischief

On March 4 at 7:20 p.m., a resident from Woods Avenue reported that a 2018 Toyota was damaged while parked on Maine Avenue.
