On March 12 at 3:21 p.m., Hector Retamar, 51, of Farmingdale, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Yorktown Street,

On March 16 at 12:35 a.m., Carlos Martillo, 35, of Lynbrook, was arrested for DWI following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of S. Park Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

Attempted Burglary

On March 16 at 8:11 a.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that pry marks were discovered on an office door at 100 Merrick Rd.

Assault

On March 17 at 10:58 p.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that he had a dispute with an acquaintance from Oceanside while in the vicinity of Merrick Road, resulting in injuries requiring medical attention.

Larceny

On March 16 at 5:52 p.m., a complainant from Rockville Centre reported that a bicycle was stolen from the vicinity of Front Street.

Unusual Incident

On March 18 at 5:28 p.m., a complainant from West Islip reported that he received an unusual postcard at 30 Hempstead Ave., causing annoyance and alarm.

Harassment

On March 14 at 8:22 p.m., a complainant from Buckminster Road reported that her fiancé’s former wife from Pennsylvania has been texting and calling, causing annoyance and alarm.

Criminal Mischief

On March 18 at 10:13 a.m., a complainant from Lakeview Avenue reported that a Cadillac parked at Central Synagogue was damaged by unknown means.

Fire

On March 12 at 6:17 p.m., police and the Rockville Centre Fire Department responded to a laundromat on N. Village Avenue for a reported dryer fire that was extinguished by fire personnel.

Social Host Law

On March 17 at 10:12 p.m., police personnel responded to an Arbor Lane residence for a social host law violation.
