Arrests

On Dec. 28 at 12:36 p.m., James C. Merriweather, 60, of Maine Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Maine Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 29 at 8:22 p.m., Maclean B. Samuel, 68, of Udall Road, Bay Shore was arrested and charged with unlicensed operator and an open New York City vehicle and traffic law warrant following an auto accident investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 29 at 6:08 p.m., Daniel Toto, 33, of Nassau Boulevard, Williston Park, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Windsor Avenue and S. Village Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 30 at 3:09 p.m., a 25-year-old Hempstead man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic law violation following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road and N. Kensington Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 31 at 2:04 a.m., Akil E. Mavruk, 21, of Peninsula Boulevard, Cedarhurst, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 31 at 3:58 a.m., Andrew J. Girimonte, 25, of Hunter Place, Smithtown was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Municipal Parking Field 3, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 31 at 11:16 p.m., Rainelle D. Smith, 42, of N. Forest Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of N. Forest Avenue.

Forgery

On Dec. 27 at 11:14 a.m., an assistant manager from Citibank, located at 297 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, reported that a woman attempted to deposit a forged check for $1,438.65.

On Dec. 30 at 7:40 p.m., the owner of Cannon’s Blackthorn, located at 49 N. Village Ave., reported that on Dec. 29, a man passed nine counterfeit $20 bills, but fled from the bar prior to police arrival.

Larceny

On Dec. 27 at 10:14 a.m., a person from Lee Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole an Apple iPhone while in the vicinity of the Recreation Center basketball court, located at 111 N. Oceanside Road, Rockville Centre.

On Dec. 28 at 7:21 p.m., a complainant from Rugby Road, Rockville Centre reported that on Dec. 25 at approximately 6:10 p.m., someone entered a 2016 Maserati parked at Temple B’Nai Sholom, located at 100 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre, and stole jewelry valued at $1,100.

On Dec. 30 at 4:28 p.m., a man stole 26 Red Bull drinks from 7-Eleven, located at 324 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, and then fled in a black Nissan Sentra in an unknown direction.

On Dec. 31 at 1:43 a.m., a complainant from Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole a two-and-a-half foot grey urn valued at $100 from the front of the residence.

Unusual Incident

On Dec. 30 at 10:22 a.m., a man from Crocker Street, Rockville Centre reported that someone purchased an IPhone 7 valued at $849.99 using his personal information.

On Dec. 30 at 12:59 p.m., a person from Arrandale Road, Rockville Centre, reported that someone arrested by NYPD personnel opened a Saks Fifth Avenue account using forged identification.

On Dec. 30 at 1:37 p.m., a woman from Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, reported that someone made purchases totaling $2,296.37 against a Victoria’s Secret credit card account and attempted to open Macy’s and Pier 1 Imports accounts using her personal information.

Criminal Mischief

On Dec. 30 at 11:05 a.m., a homeowner from Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that two people damaged two flower pots valued at $400 that were located in front of the home.

Property Damage

On Dec. 31 at 2:00 a.m., a person from Islip Avenue, Central Islip, reported that the passenger-side mirror to a 2013 Ford Escape was damaged while parked on S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.
