Arrests

On April 7 at 1:05 a.m., Joseph Altamura, 22, of Oceanside, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment during a disturbance on Merrick Road.

On April 8 at 4:25 a.m., Daniel Duarte, 31, of Oceanside, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and a traffic infraction after he was allegedly involved in an auto accident on Hempstead Avenue.

On April 10 at 11:54 p.m., Kevin B. Windley, 51, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with trespass during a disturbance at Mercy Medical Center.

Criminal Mischief

On April 11 at 7:37 p.m., a motorist reported his taillight was damaged while his car was parked behind a restaurant on N. Park Avenue.

On April 8 at 10 a.m., a N. Centre Avenue resident reported the theft of a package from her doorstep.

On April 10 at 10:43 a.m., the owner of a car sales business on Sunrise Hwy reported the larceny of auto parts from a vehicle parked on his lot.

Fire

On April 12 at 2:35 a.m., police and fire units responded to a working fire at the Capital One Bank, 77 Lincoln Ave. No injuries reported.
