Criminal Mischief

On May 16 at 2:04 a.m., a driver reported someone damaged the back window of his vehicle while it was parked near Front Street overnight.

On May 16 at 6:41 a.m., a driver reported someone damaged his vehicle windshield while it was parked near Front Street overnight.

On May 16 at 2:37 p.m., a Merrick Road resident reported finding scratches on his car after leaving it parked in Municipal Parking Field 8 overnight.

Larceny

On May 14 at 4:57 p.m., a commuter reported his bicycle was stolen from the LIRR Station near N. Park Avenue during the day while he was at work.

On May 16 at 8 p.m., a driver reported his car was stolen from Municipal Parking Field 4 while it was parked during the day.

Arrests

On May 16 at 6:37 p.m., Michael D. Kessler, 29, of Oceanside, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest during a disturbance inside a supermarket on Sunrise Highway.
