Arrests
On Jan. 20 at 6:08 p.m., Payton Rice, 29, of Ingraham Street, Hempstead, was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, false personation, unlawful possession of marijuana, an open bench warrant and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.
On Jan. 21 at 12:49 p.m., Lewis A. Smith, 53, of East 56th Street, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 22 at 2:46 a.m., Gregory Joseph Cerchione, 24, of National Drive, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On Jan. 21 at 12:15 a.m., two women from Valley Stream reported being assaulted by two unknown women while at R.J. Daniels, located at 279 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.
Larcenies
On Jan. 17 at 3:20 p.m., a complainant from Reeve Road, Rockville Centre reported that a handicapped parking permit was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the driveway.
On Jan. 19 at 11:10 a.m., a complainant from Lawrence Place, Rockville Centre reported that a package containing a sweater valued at $250 was stolen from the the porch.
On Jan. 19 at 5:42 p.m., a woman from N. Forest Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that a home health aide made an unauthorized purchase for $51.05 against her Visa credit card at King Kullen, located at 127 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.
On Jan. 22 at 12:27 a.m., a complainant from Lakeview Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole two Burton snowboards valued at $800 total from a 2016 Chevrolet car parked at the residence.
Theft of Services
On Jan. 17 at 11:35 p.m., a cap driver reported that a man took a cab ride from Far Rockaway to 100 Banks Avenue, Rockville Centre and fled the area without paying the $60 fare.
Unusual Incident
On Jan. 17 at 10:43 a.m., a man from Saint James Place, Rockville Centre reported that someone opened a Capital One credit card account using his personal information and made $9,165.60 in charges.
On Jan. 17 at 2:11 p.m., a man from State Street, Rockville Centre reported that someone opened a Progressive automobile insurance policy using his personal information.
On Jan. 18 at 7:25 p.m, a woman from Monroe Street, Rockville Centre reported that someone opened a Lord and Taylor credit card account using her personal information and made $1,800 in charges.
On Jan. 20 at 11:26 a.m., a complainant reported that someone sent a sexually explicit letter to 78 Randall Ave., Rockville Centre addressed to an employee residing in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
On Jan. 20 at 6:38 p.m., a woman from Jefferson Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone wrote eight checks totaling $6,326 against her Astoria Bank account.
On Jan. 21 at 11:50 a.m., a complainant employee from Best Western, located at 173 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre, reported that an Airsoft BB pistol was discovered in a room.
On Jan. 21 at 3:23 p.m., a complainant from Sutton Place, Rockville Centre, reported that someone wrote four checks totaling $13,900 against a TD Bank account without authorization.
Harassment
On Jan. 21 at 12:30 p.m., a woman from Mercy Medical Center, 1000 N. Village Ave., Rockville Centre, reported that a patient harassed her, causing annoyance and alarm.
Property Damage
On Jan. 21 at 12:44 a.m., a complainant from Driscoll Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that two parking signs were discovered removed and on the ground by unknown means.
