Arrests

On May 4 at 3:20 p.m., Ryan R. Khan, 30, of Mathias Avenue, Jamaica, was arrested for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and vehicle and traffic law violations following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Morris Avenue, Rockville Centre.

On May 7 at 5:59 a.m., Giovanni M. Mauro, 26, of Pearl Street, Oceanside, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic law violation following an investigation by police personnel in the vicinity of Davison Place and Lenox Road, Rockville Centre.

ABC Violation

On May 5 at 8 p.m., Peter W. Kurrus, 31, of Shepherd Street, Rockville Centre, was issued an appearance ticket for sale of alcoholic beverage to an underage person while at RJ Daniels, 279 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

Robbery

On May 4 at 11:53 p.m., a woman from Huntington reported that a former boyfriend from S. Emerald Street, Amityville, displayed a knife, assaulted her and stole an iPhone while at Best Western Hotel, 173 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

Assault

On May 3 at 11:04 p.m., two complainants from Queens reported that they were assaulted while at T.G.I. Friday’s, 716 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre, resulting in injuries requiring medical attention. The subjects reportedly fled the scene in two cars eastbound on Sunrise Highway.

On May 6 at 3:42 a.m., two women from Oceanside and Bellmore reported that an unknown man punched them in the face while in the vicinity of 23 N. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre. The man was last seen running westbound on Merrick Road.

Fraud

On May 3 at 8:33 p.m., a woman from Oceanside reported that someone sent her a check for $1.995 towards purportedly participating in a marketing campaign. The woman purchased $1,000 in iTunes gift cards at CVS, supplied the serial numbers, and was then notified by Capital One Bank that the deposited check was fraudulent.

Forgery

On May 2 at 10:35 a.m., a complainant from Reid Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone altered a $20 Citibank personal check and cashed it for $1,000.

Criminal Mischief

On May 4 at 11:45 a.m., a complainant from the Rockville Centre Department of Public Works reported that someone damaged a tree on Marlborough Court without permission.

On May 6 at 3:15 p.m., a complainant from Oceanside reported that the rear window to a 2008 Ford was damaged by unknown means while parked at 265 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

Property Damage

On May 1 at 7:46 p.m., a complainant from Elmont reported that the front grill and fender to a 2015 Chevrolet was damaged by unknown means while parked on Morgan Days Lane, Rockville Centre.
