Rockville Centre Holding Free Naloxone Training
The training can help you save the life of someone overdosing on heroin.

Next week, the Rockville Centre Recreation Center will be hosting a free training session fore residents to learn how to administer Naloxone to save the life of someone overdosing on heroin.
The seminar will be held on Feb. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. After the free seminar, everyone who attends will receive a free Naloxone kit, which can be used to revive someone from an opiate overdose.
As the heroin epidemic spreads across Long Island, more and more people are being affected, and people are dying from overdoses every day. Knowing how to properly use a Naloxone kit can save someone's life.

The event was organized by the United Church of Rockville Centre.
Many local leaders will also be in attendance, including Rockville Centre Mayor Francis X. Murray, Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, State Assemblyman Brian Curran and county legislators C. William Gaylor III and Howard Kopel.
