Rockville Centre Hosting Opioid Overdose Training

The free seminar will teach you how to administer Naloxone, which can reverse a deadly opioid overdose.

Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony D'Esposito will be hosting an opioid overdose training seminar in Rockville Centre Thursday night.

The seminar will be held at 7 p.m. at the Rockville Centre Public Library, located at 221 North Village Ave. D'Esposito, a police officer and volunteer firefighter, will be joined by Rockville Centre Mayor Francis X. Murray at the seminar, which is sponsored by the village's fire and police departments.

Atendees will learn how to administer Naloxone, the lifesaving drug that can reverse an opioid overdose. They will also learn to the signs of an overdose. The seminar is free, and participants will be given a Naloxone kit.
