A Rockville Centre man was arrested Friday morning for allegedly stealing more than $18,000 from his employer. According to police, 25-year-old Robert Cosme removed checks from the business checkbook of Ace North Shore Door, located at 207 Vincent Avenue in Lynbrook.Between April and July 2015, Cosme cashed checks from the stolen checkbook at multiple check cashing establishments, causing a loss of over $18,000 to Ace North Shore Door. Cosme surrendered to Crimes Against Property detectives on Friday. Cosme is charged with third degree grand larceny and four counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead and was released on $2,000 bond.
