Rockville Centre Police Make Two Arrests

The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending June 24.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

  • On June 21 at 8:52 a.m., a driver reported his vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while he was driving on Merrick Road. No injuries were reported.

Larceny

  • On June 17 at 2:09 p.m., a driver reported a suitcase was stolen from her unlocked car while it was parked on Bulson Road overnight.

Arrests

  • On June 17 at 11:30 a.m., Robert St. John, 64, of Lindenhurst, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating with a suspended registration and three other traffic offenses after police say he was seen driving on Sunrise Highway.
  • On June 21 at 12:14 p.m., Joseph Small, 36, of Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt during an investigation on Sunrise Highway.
