Rockville Centre Student Chosen for Student Leader Program

A Rockville Centre student was selected to participate in the 2014 Student Leaders program from Bank of America.

Raemie Ladner, a rising senior at South Side High School, was awarded an eight-week paid internship at Education & Assistance Corporation through the program.

Raemie also traveled to Washington D.C. to take part in a national Student Leadership Summit where she honed leadership skills, networked with students, and participated a service project.

Raemie’s accomplishments include Chairperson of Grants at the Rockville Centre Youth Council, member of the Mayor’s Youth Task Force, member of her church youth group, and a member of the School Improvement Compact Team as an alternate representative.

Raemie was one of five Long Island students to make the program including Colleen Flynn, of Commack, Jamie Morgenstern, of Lido Beach, Iman Lee, of Huntington Station, and Tanisha Verneus, of Valley Stream.
