ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Homeowners will head to the polls on Tuesday, May 16.
The Rockville Centre Union Free School annual election and budget vote from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
It takes place at the main gymnasium at South Side High School.

The proposed 2023-2024 budget is $136 million, a 5.74% increase. The tax levy is 1.99%, under the 2.21% cap.
The budget features no cuts, while making faculty improvements at all schools.

Also on the ballot, deciding on the Rockville Centre Public Library budget. A tax increase would be below the state's mandated cap of 2.18%. Each homeowner will see an estimated $0.92 increase per month.
Anyone 18 and older, who has been a resident of Rockville Centre for at least 30 days prior to the election, can vote.
