Run To Support Oceanside Student With Cancer
The fundraiser is scheduled to take place on Oct. 22.
OCEANSIDE, NY — A fundraiser run will benefit a local high school student, who is battling leukemia.
The Ava's Army Color Run/Walk will take place on Oct. 22 at Baldwin Park.
It's a 1.5-mile run co-sponsored by the Kiwanis of Oceanside. Both activities are scheduled for rain or shine.

Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. The event runs from 9-11 a.m., but organizers have reached maximum capacity and registration has closed.
Food and a DJ will also be part of the event.

Those participating are encouraged to dress up and "run through the rainbow," the Facebook post said.
All proceeds will go directly to Ava Salonia and her family, according to the post.
