RVC Kid Gets To Be Dairy Queen's Chief Blizzard Officer
Watch as Teddy Moore, an ambassador for the Children's Miracle Hospital Network, got to live his dream job for a day.

Rockville Centre resident Teddy Moore got to live out a dream every child has when he was made Dairy Queen's Chief Blizzard Officer for a day, and tasked with creating (and eating) some new Blizzard flavors.
Teddy, who's 11, is an ambassador for the Children's Miracle Hospital Network, which raises funds for children's hospitals around the country. Teddy has hydrocephalus, which causes fluid to build up in his brain. He has been a patient at Cohen Children's Medical Center for years, where he has undergone 36 surgeries.
Hydrocephalus is an uncommon condition, and research funding is scarce. Most of it comes from donations from groups like the Children's Miracle Hospital Network.

As part of his job as ambassador, Teddy has met with CEOs of big companies to spread the word about the network and the work it does for him and other kids like him. But this time, the job was a real treat.
Teddy was officially named the Chief Blizzard Officer by Dairy Queen President and CEO Troy Brader at the company's headquarters in Minneapolis. There, he was given his official CBO lab coat and taken to Dairy Queen's Blizzard laboratory, where he got to mix up some concoctions of his own.

Dairy Queen partners with the Children's Miracle Hospital Network every year with Miracle Treat Day, which is Aug. 2. On that day, Dairy Queens across the country (including the three on Long Island) will donate $1 or more from every Blizzard sold to the Children's Miracle Hospital Network.
Donations from the Long Island DQ locations will be going to Cohen Children's Medical Center. If you want to participate and buy a Blizzard, you can visit DQ locations in Levittown, at 3095 Hempstead Turnpike; Massapequa, at 5366 Sunrise Highway; and in Huntington, at 321 West Jericho Turnpike.
