RVC's Renz, Walsh Standout Among FLG Elite

One of FLG’s most successful and driven teams of the summer was the 2016 boys.

Characterized by their hard work, relentless effort and unselfish play, the team finished 20-5-1 for the summer; a remarkable record.

This dominant team was led by Rockville Centre’s Will Renz and Zach Walsh. Renz was a true leader through the middle of the field. He was a dynamic midfielder who maintained possessions and started transition offense. In the net, Walsh stood on his head and provided countless big time saves when the team needed them most. He commanded a strong defense and was a leader on and off the field.

“We are extremely proud of our team effort this entire summer,” said Coach Tower, “these young men have tremendous futures in front of them and Coach Hedstrom and I really enjoyed coaching them.”
