Scheduled Overnight Power Outages For Parts Of Rockville Centre

Maintenance work by the electric department is expected to mostly impact businesses.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Rockville Centre residents should be aware of scheduled power outages during the overnight hours on Wednesday.

The village said the maintenance work is expected to impact approximately 92 commercial customers on North Park Avenue between Merrick Road and Maple Avenue.

The Rockville Centre Electric Department is planning the work from 11 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Additionally, two dozen other businesses on the south side of Sunrise Highway from Morris Avenue to North Park Avenue will likely see 30-minute outages at 11 p.m. Tues.

It is suggested you shut off any sensitive electronic devices prior to the scheduled power outage. For more information, you can call the power plant at 766-5800.
