Search On For Missing Hempstead 31-Year-Old, Police Say

HEMPSTEAD, NY — The Nassau County police department is enlisting the public’s help after a 31-year-old man was reported missing from his Hempstead home Monday night.

Nassau County police said Dashawn WIllis was last seen in Hempstead and reported missing at 8 p.m. Monday, describing Willis as a Black man standing 5-feet, 7-inches, weighing 140 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Willis was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and an Orlando Magic hat, police said, adding that he’s known to use public transit and that his destination is unknown.

Police have encouraged anyone with information on Willis’s whereabouts to contact the missing persons squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911.
