Some Residents Can Expect Overnight Power Outage In RVC

Underground electrical work is planned for Wednesday starting at midnight, the village says.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A power outage is planned for certain parts of Rockville Centre during the overnight hours on Wednesday, with the rain date for Thursday.

The Electrical Department will be doing vital underground work in a manhole located at Maple Avenue between Lee Avenue and North Forest Avenue, the village said on its website.

Numerous buildings on North Forest Avenue and Maple Avenue, along with 1 Jefferson Ave., will be impacted by the entire six-hour construction outage.

Some addresses on College Place and North Park Avenue can anticipate the loss of power for 45 minutes.

The road work is scheduled from midnight to 6 a.m.
