Spring Hydrant Flushing Could Discolor Water, But Safe To Drink
The overnight flushing is scheduled from April 6-12 in Rockville Centre.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Residents should be advised of the spring hydrant flushing for Rockville Centre.
It is expected to start on April 6 and last until April 12.
Of note, the flushing may cause a drop in water pressure and/or discolored water to flow into homes and businesses. The village says the water is safe to drink but it could stain laundry.
