Have you ever wondered:
How long is the average Torah scroll?
What is the longest word in the Torah?
What are the first and last words in the Torah scroll?
The answers to these, and many other, questions will be revealed when we unroll the entire scroll of the Torah at our Simchat Torah celebration on Sunday October 4 at 6:30pm. When we read from the Torah scroll we usually unroll a column or two, just enough to see the section we are reading that day, but this Simchat Torah we are going to do something very rare and special – we are going to unfurl the Torah scroll from beginning to end! That’s a sight you won’t want to miss! You don’t want your children and grandchildren to miss that amazing sight either.
Children in grades two and under will enjoy a PJ Library ® story time before parading into the Sanctuary to see the Torah as it is unrolled.
