Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. Update:VALLEY STREAM, NY - Three people were hospitalized after a three-car accident on Sunrise Highway on Tuesday morning, according to Nassau County Police.A 36-year-old man was driving westbound on Sunrise Highway in a 2003 Nissan Altima at about 6:35 a.m. when he lost control of his car, crossed an eastbound grass median and struck a 2008 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 55-year-old woman.The crash then caused the Hyundai Elantra to strike a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder also travelling eastbound by a second 55-year-old woman.The man was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition, police said.The two women were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.The Nissan Altima and the Hyundai Elantra were impounded from the scene for brake and safety checks.The Nissan Pathfinder was removed from the scene by a family member.This investigation is ongoing.Original story:VALLEY STREAM, NY - A three-car accident closed down Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream early Tuesday morning, police confirmed.The accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. and eastbound Sunrise Highway is still closed from Hook Creek Boulevard in Rosedale and Green Acres Road in Valley Stream, police said.No further information has been released yet.Photo: Google Maps
