UPDATE: Three Hospitalized After Sunrise Highway Accident
The crash occurred early Tuesday morning.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - Three people were hospitalized after a three-car accident on Sunrise Highway on Tuesday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
A 36-year-old man was driving westbound on Sunrise Highway in a 2003 Nissan Altima at about 6:35 a.m. when he lost control of his car, crossed an eastbound grass median and struck a 2008 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 55-year-old woman.

The crash then caused the Hyundai Elantra to strike a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder also travelling eastbound by a second 55-year-old woman.
The man was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition, police said.

The two women were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Nissan Altima and the Hyundai Elantra were impounded from the scene for brake and safety checks.
The Nissan Pathfinder was removed from the scene by a family member.
This investigation is ongoing.

VALLEY STREAM, NY - A three-car accident closed down Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream early Tuesday morning, police confirmed.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. and eastbound Sunrise Highway is still closed from Hook Creek Boulevard in Rosedale and Green Acres Road in Valley Stream, police said.
No further information has been released yet.
