Trio Charged With Stealing Over $12,000 in Bank Scam: Police
The three deposited and withdrew stolen money orders from Maryland into banks in Rockville Centre and Baldwin, police say.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY - Three men were recently arrested for depositing and withdrawing stolen money orders from Maryland totaling over $12,000 in Rockville Centre and Baldwin banks in December, according to Nassau Police.
On January 6, a Maryland Postal Inspector became involved in an investigation with stolen US Postal Money Orders from Baltimore, which led to Nassau County, police said.
The investigation found that in December 2015, Bryant Felder, 27, Tyrie Barnes, 28, both of Brooklyn and Joseph Singleton, 23, of Elmont, deposited several money orders and later withdrew money from a TD Bank in Rockville Centre and Capital One Banks in Baldwin and Rockville Centre, police said.

The banks report a total loss of over $12,000, police said.
Felder and Barnes were both arrested at their homes on March 24 and Singleton was arrested on Wednesday in Hempstead, police said.

Felder is being charged with two counts of third degree grand larceny and 10 counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument, police said.
Barnes is being charged with grand larceny and 5 counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument and Singleton is being charged with five counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument, police said.
