Investigation Continues After 2 Men Found Dead From Gunshot Wounds In Hempstead Village Basement: PD
Police said two men were found dead in a Hempstead Village basement Wednesday. Here's everything the police have made public so far.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police are investigating a Hempstead Village home Wednesday after a pair of men were found unresponsive in the basement of the home and declared dead, police said.
Hempstead police said a 911 call came in at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday morning to a home on Angevine Avenue with reports of two unresponsive men. Upon arrival, police said the men were declared dead.
Hempstead police said the investigation had been taken over by Nassau County homicide police Wednesday afternoon, while Nassau County police declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

In a statement Wednesday afternoon, County police said the men had been found with fatal gunshot wounds.
Just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, police said there was no additional threat to the public but that the investigation was still ongoing. Police did not report any arrests or charges stemming from the men's deaths Wednesday night.
