'Unacceptable Acts Of Hate': Legislator Denounces Anti-Semitic Flyers

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The strong condemnation of anti-Semitic flyers landing in front of Rockville Centre and Oceanside homes has led to a police investigation into the distribution of the sheets.

Nassau County Legislator Carrie Solages (D-Lawrence) is joining political and community leaders in "denouncing these acts of hate."

Solages praised the Nassau police for how they handled the matter.

The lawmaker reiterated that the flyers were "unacceptable" as police search for a Toyota Prius that might be connected to the hate crime.

Solages, who said he is unified with his Jewish brothers and sisters, asked anyone with knowledge of who left the anti-Semitic flyers to call his office.

The county legislator also reflected personally on Facebook by saying that his brother-in-law, niece and nephew are Jewish.
