This Week In Rockville Centre: Drugs Taken From Police HQ, U-Haul Goes Missing, Police Say
The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Rockville Centre police released their crime report for the previous week Monday, reporting six items between Mar. 23 and Mar. 30. The entries are as follows:
On Mar. 23 at 8:31 a.m., the administrator of a Maine Avenue rehab facility reported receiving lewd, inappropriate phone calls from an unknown caller, police said.
On Mar. 23 at 9:29 a.m., 25 pounds of household pharmaceuticals were taken from the drug box at police HQ and destroyed, police said.

On Mar. 23 at 1:27 p.m., 24-year-old Merrick Road resident John Almanza was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after an incident at his home, police said. Court documents show Almanza has pleaded not guilty and is due back in court Apr. 22.
On Mar. 23 at 3:35 p.m., a Deer Park woman said she had been involved in a hit-and-run on Hempstead Avenue, with the other vehicle fleeing the scene, police said.

On Mar. 24 at 1:56 p.m., 22-year-old Old Mill Court resident Gerald Cuthbert was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, police said. Court documents show Cuthbert has pleaded not guilty, and is due back in court Apr. 13.
On Mar. 24 at 9:38 p.m., police said a 91-year-old woman was found dead in her North Centre Avenue apartment.
On Mar. 25 at 12:57 p.m., a North Centre Avenue resident reported over $2,000 had been taken from their account in fraudulent withdrawals, police said.
On Mar. 25 at 1:38 p.m., the assistant manager of a Maple Avenue U-Haul location reported a trailer going missing from the U-Haul yard, police said.
On Mar. 25 at 6:05 p.m., 22-year-old West Hempstead resident William Makar was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree assault connected to a previous altercation, police said. Court documents show Makar’s first appearance was due to take place Monday, with no plea yet entered.
On Mar. 26 at 2:03 p.m., a South Kensington Avenue man said his wallet had been stolen from his car while it was parked in his driveway, police said.
On Mar. 26 at 4:40 p.m., 23-year-old West Hempstead resident Sean Simonson was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree assault in connection with a previous altercation, police said.
On Mar. 26 at 5:14 p.m., a Broadway man said his wallet had been stolen from his unlocked car while it was in the driveway, police said.
On Mar. 27 at 11:24 a.m., 71-year-old Wantagh resident Cynthia Constantinis was arrested and charged with trespassing following an investigation at Mercy Hospital, police said.
On Mar. 28 at 9:38 p.m., a North Baldwin resident reported that several fraudulent ATM transactions had taken place at multiple Citibank locations, police said.
On Mar. 29 at 7:03 p.m., a Lincoln Avenue woman said her EBT card had been used to make fraudulent transactions, police said.
