This Week In Rockville Centre: Fraudulent Bank Activity, Vehicle Damages, Police Say
The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday, detailing incidents between Feb. 3 and Feb. 9.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — Rockville Centre police released their crime report for the previous week Monday, reporting eight incidents between Feb. 3 and Feb. 9. The entries are as follows:
On Feb. 3, a Jefferson Avenue resident said she had been the victim of fraudulent activity on her bank account, police said.
On Feb. 3, a Berkshire Rd. resident said an unknown woman had attempted to open a business account in her name, police said.

On Feb. 3, a Mineola man said his vehicle had been damaged by falling ice in a Maple Avenue business’s parking lot where it had been parked, police said.
On Feb. 4, police said a Hempstead woman had reported her vehicle being struck in a hit-and-run, with the other car fleeing the scene at the intersection of Village Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.

On Feb. 6, police said a Morris Avenue resident was discovered unresponsive on her couch and later pronounced dead.
On Feb. 7, police said a North Forest Avenue woman reported that she had been harassed by someone she knew to the point that she feared for her safety.
On Feb. 7, police said a North Forest Avenue woman reported damage to her vehicle caused by someone unknown to her while it was parked in a lot.
On Feb. 8, a burst pipe caused flooding on North Central Avenue, requiring the presence of police and fire personnel, police said.
