This Week In Rockville Centre: Large-Sum Withdrawal, Lost Company Laptop, Police Say

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — Rockville Centre police released their crime report for the previous week Monday, reporting eight items between Jan. 12 and Jan. 19. The entries are as follows:
On Jan. 12 at 4:46 p.m., a 73-year-old man was found unresponsive in his Maine Avenue nursing home bed and later pronounced at the scene, police said.
On Jan. 13 at 8:13 a.m., a car was reported stolen from a building on North Centre Avenue, police said.

On Jan. 13 at 1:29 p.m., a Berkshire Road man said someone had gained unauthorized access to his bank accounts and made withdrawals of “large sums of money,” police said.
On Jan. 14 at 1:15 p.m., a customer was reported to have walked out of Parts Authority on Merrick Road with merchandise without paying, police said.

On Jan. 14 at 2:41 p.m., a Florida resident told police her vehicle had been damaged while parked near the entrance to Mercy Hospital, police said.
On Jan. 15 at 8:02 a.m., several gift baskets were reported taken by a Lincoln Avenue resident, who said they were taken from her unlocked car parked in field 4, police said.
On Jan. 15 at 8:51 a.m., a woman reported that someone had made unauthorized purchases on her Amazon account, police said.
On Jan. 16 at 9:52 a.m., a New York State Department of Transportation employee lost his department-issued laptop in the vicinity of Morris Avenue, police said.
