This Week In Rockville Centre: Patient Assaults Hospital Staff, Fraudulent Small Business Loans, Police Say

The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday morning.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — THe Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday, detailing incidents between Apr. 7 and Apr. 12.

The items reported are as follows:

On Apr. 7 at 2:16 a.m., 25-year-old Oceanside resident Justin Delarosa was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree assault, police said. Court documents do not show Delarosa having made an appearance yet

On Apr. 7 at 10:52 a.m., a Queens resident reported her rental car being struck and damaged while parked outside a hotel on Sunrise Highway, police said.

On Apr. 7 at 12:38 p.m., a Shepherd Street resident reported that someone had opened a fraudulent small business loan in her name with the U.S. Small Business Administration, police said.

On Apr. 8 at 6:48 p.m., 29-year-old Island Park resident Brandon Chambers was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after an investigation on a Long Island Railroad platform, police said.

On Apr. 9 at 1:45 p.m., a 90-year-old man died in a Maine Avenue rehab facility after having difficulty breathing, despite efforts to resuscitate him, police said.

On Apr. 9 at 6:41 p.m., 48-year-old Rockville Centre resident Shakeba Davis was arrested and charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and identity theft, police said. Police said she had made purchases with credit cards that she had stolen from several vehicles.

On Apr. 10 at 11:21 a.m., a Banks Avenue resident reported a package theft, police said.

On Apr. 10 at 11:53 a.m., 52-year-old Rockville Centre resident Asia Duncan was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic offenses after police said she had been seen driving a vehicle while her license had 31 suspensions on it.

On Apr. 10 at 2:53 p.m., three Mercy Hospital employees said they had been assaulted by a psychiatric patient and sustained various injuries, police said.

On Apr. 10 at 10:46 pm., 51-year-old Rockville Centre resident Tracy Tamagna was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief after an investigation at her home, police said.

On Apr. 12 at 4:01 a.m., a fight broke out in front of a South Park Avenue bar that left a Seaford resident and a Bellmore resident with facial injuries, police said.
