ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report for the week ending May 4 Monday, listing 10 items between April 27 and May 3.

The items listed are as follows:

On April 27 at 7:41 a.m., a Merrick Road man said his 2024 Acura had been stolen from his driveway at some point overnight, police said.

On April 28 at 2:08 p.m., a Banks Avenue man said someone had made fraudulent purchases on his replacement credit card after taking it from the mailroom of his building, police said.

On April 28 at 6:34 p.m., a Brower Avenue resident said a package had been stolen off his porch, police said.

On April 28 at 9:33 p.m., 53-year-old Elmont resident Ahmad Tahir was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said. According to police, Tahir is an employee at a service station and was driving a car that belonged to a customer of the station.

On April 29 at 9:35 a.m., a Linden Street woman said someone had used her information to transfer money out of her bank accounts into fraudulent external accounts that she didn’t control, police said.

On April 29 at 9:42 a.m., a Cumberland Street man said someone had made fraudulent purchases on his wife’s credit cards after taking her wallet from their car while it was parked unlocked in the driveway, police said.

On April 29 at 10:31 a.m., a Queens woman said multiple valuables had been stolen from her Maple Avenue storage unit, police said.

On April 29 at 3:51 p.m., a human resources employee at a Merrick Road business said she had been threatened by a job applicant whose application the business had rejected, police said.

On April 1 at 4:42 p.m., a North Forest Avenue woman said her personal information had been used to open a credit card with Capital One, police said.

On April 3 at 4:48 a.m., an Uber driver from Queens said she had been assaulted in front of Dark Horse Tavern by an unidentified pair of women, police said.
