ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly report Monday, detailing arrests and incidents within the village.
This week, there are eight entries between Aug. 10 and Aug. 17. The items listed are as follows:
On Aug. 10 at 1:22 p.m., a McGann Drive woman said her debit card had been used to make fraudulent withdrawals in the weeks since she lost it, police said.

On Aug. 12 at 2:41 p.m., an Irving Place woman said she was concerned that her husband had been the victim of a scam after spending several hours out of the house after leaving for King Kullen, police said. According to police, the man had bought several thousand dollars in gift cards and provided the cards’ information to a phone scammer who was claiming that the information was needed to remove fraudulent charges on a bank account. The woman’s husband was found and escorted home, police said.
On Aug. 13 at 9:18 a.m., a Briarwood Court man said he had found multiple guns in his father’s home after his father died, police said. The man’s father was a county pistol permit holder, and the guns were taken for safekeeping, police said.

On Aug. 14 at 1:45 a.m., a North Baldwin man said he had suffered wrist and jaw pain as the result of a July 25 assault at the South Side High School soccer field, police said.
On Aug. 14 at 8:44 a.m., police said a fire broke out on Smith Street, with the family that lived there getting out of the house without any injuries. The fire, police said, was extinguished by firefighters from Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, Oceanside and South Hempstead departments.
On Aug. 14 at 3:01 p.m., police said a Mercy Hospital nurse reported that a patient had spit in his face and tried to bite him.
On Aug. 14 at 10:21 p.m., a Massapequa man said he had been in a hit-and-run crash on Merrick Road in which the other car fled the scene before information could be exchanged, police said.
On Aug. 15 at 11:14 a.m., a Farmingdale woman said she had been in a car crash on Peninsula Boulevard, with the other driver stopping then fleeing when she started to call the police, police said.
