This Week In Rockville Centre: Stolen Laptop, Fraudulent Con Ed Account, Police Say
The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — Rockville Centre police released their crime report for the previous week Monday, reporting seven items between Feb. 16 and Feb. 23. The entries are as follows:
On Feb. 16 at 11:37 a.m., a Staten Island man reported that his laptop had been stolen from his car while it was parked on Front Street, police said.
On Feb. 16 at 4 p.m., a 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with petit larceny after an investigation at his home, police said.

On Feb. 17 at 3:25 p.m., the Rockville Centre Fire Department said six now-former members of the department had not turned in their badges when leaving the department, police said.
On Feb. 19, police said a Rockville Centre Fire Department member had lost his department pager.

On Feb. 20 at 9:46 p.m., police said an 82-year-old man was found dead in his Banks Avenue apartment.
On Feb. 21 at 2:23 p.m., police said a Morris Avenue woman reported a Con Edison account had been opened in her name and sent to collections.
On Feb. 21 at 4:25 p.m., a 73-year-old South Forest Avenue woman was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after police responded to her home.
