This Week In Rockville Centre: Tenant Cuts Landlord, Missing Person Found In Atlantic City Hospital, PD Says
The Rockville Centre Police Department released its weekly crime report Monday.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY. — Rockville Centre police released their crime report for the previous week Monday, reporting eight items between Feb. 24 and Mar. 1. The entries are as follows:
On Feb. 24 at 7:16 p.m., police said a counselor at a group home on Merrick Road reported one of the home’s residents missing. After the report, police said the resident was found at an Atlantic City hospital.
On Feb. 24 at 8:03 p.m., police said an East Rockaway man reproetd his wallet lost near Merrick Road’s Mesita restaurant.

On Feb. 25 at 7:58 p.m., police said a Thomaston resident reported his involvement in a hit and run accident, in which the other car had fled the scene.
On Feb. 26 at 11:32 a.m., police said a 97-year-old Cleveland Avenue resident was found dead in her home. Police labeled the death as natural.

On Feb. 26 at 12:32 p.m., police said 47-year-old Rockville Centre resident Corinne Saar was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after cutting her landlord’s finger. Police did not identify what Saar had used to cut the landlord’s finger, describing only an “unknown object.”
On Feb. 26 at 9:10 p.m., police said a Morris Avenue resident reported he’d fallen victim to a scam call. In that call, police said the man had been contacted by someone who said they were from Citibank. The man then gave account information and personal identifying information to the caller, later discovering several thousand dollars missing from his bank accounts, police said.
On Feb. 27 at 12:01 a.m., police said 24-year-old Ellen Cox was arrested and charged with two second-degree counts of assault and two second-degree counts of menacing after a disturbance on Merrick Road.
On Feb. 27 at 4:13 p.m., police said 35-year-old Central Islip resident Wilian Fernandez-Loja was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic offenses on Sunrise Highway.
