Woman Kidnapped In Oceanside Home; Arrest Made Short Time Later: Cops

OCEANSIDE, NY — A Hempstead man has been arrested for a kidnapping that took place early Friday in Oceanside.

A 24-year-old woman was staying at an Oceanside residence when Majesty White was able to pick the front door to gain entry, authorities said.

White, 24, argued with the victim, grabbing a knife. White pulled the victim through the front door and slammed her onto the sidewalk, police said.

He then forced the victim into a vehicle and left the scene, police said.

White returned to the location and was placed into custody without incident.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.

Along with a charge of second-degree kidnapping, White faces counts that include first-degree burglary and third-degree assault.

He was expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
