1 Hurt After Pickup Truck Crashes Through Fence At Long Island MacArthur Airport: Police
The driver, 62, of South Setauket, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
RONKONKOMA, NY — A two-vehicle crash caused one vehicle to crash through the fence of Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
A 2022 Ford pickup truck and a 2005 Toyota pickup truck were northbound on Smithtown Avenue in the right and left lanes, respectively, when they collided at around 6:20 p.m., according to police.
The collision caused the Toyota to leave the roadway and crash through a fence at the airport, and its driver, a 62-year-old South Setauket man, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The Ford's driver, a 22-year-old Coram man, was not hurt, according to police.
