Two people suffered minor injuries in a crash in Lake Ronkonkoma Wednesday morning.
The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with a reported overturn on Ronkonkoma Avenue in front of the Carvel just north of the Long Island Expressway around 6:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, Chief Tim Blewett advised incoming units the drivers of both vehicles were able to free themselves but needed medical attention.

Additional fire units arrived soon after and secured both vehicles. The drivers of both cars were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for their injuries via a Ronkonkoma ambulance.
