6 Injured In 2 Separate Crashes 20 Minutes Apart: Suffolk PD
All were transported to local hospitals with "non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Six people were injured in two separate crashes within about 20 minutes of each other in Suffolk on Tuesday, police said.
In the first crash, a Honda sedan and a Chevy Suburban collided at the intersection of Holbrook Road and Portion Road in Centereach at about 8:24 p.m., according to police. One adult and three children were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
In the second crash, a car struck a Holbrook home injuring two people, according to police.

Police said a man was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Accent when it struck a house on Holly Lane at about 8:45 p.m. Two people inside were taken to an area hospital for treatment of "non-life-threatening injuries," according to a police spokeswoman.
The Brookhaven Town building inspector's office was called to "evaluate the structure" and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
